May 2011 - Marvelous view of Heidelberg from the Philosopher's Way (A walking trail on the hill opposite the castle across the old bridge). The best time for photos is in the evening when the sun is setting behind this hill, in the morning the sun is across at the castle - therefore not good for photos.

Coffee and cakes at the Cafe Gundel - a wide variety of cakes. Just order at the counter, you will be given a bill for you to take to your table. Then order your drinks at the table.

Breakfast at Guesthouse Heidelberg - Variety of sandwiches, Much better than a buffet.
The guesthouse is a very comfortable hotel conveniently located just at the edge of old town.
Rooms come with a little kitchenette.
A friendly gentleman which we met at the Philosopher's Way.
